Chanelle S. Reynolds | Sales Manager for The Washington Redskins | Co-owner of The Double Portion Brand
Who is Chanelle S. Reynolds?
I pride myself on having three pillars which are ambition, hustle and grit. I'm a very ambitious girl, I hustle, and I have a competitive edge. I also understand that failure is only temporary. That's me in a nutshell.
Where did your career start in Sales Management for professional sports leagues?
When I got into the industry, I didn't want to do sales. I came into the industry with hopes of getting on the communication side of things. But the way you get into the industry is through sales, so once I started, I liked it and kept going with it. The rest is history from there.
Being that you’re a Sales Manager for the Washington Redskins, is it different from working in any other area of business regarding sales?
Truthfully, sales are sales. It’s all the same thing. I used to sell shoes at Nordstrom so a lot of what I learned there helped me when I worked in the NBA and the NFL. Everything you need to know about sales doesn't reflect the industry that you're in because sales doesn't change.
What does downtime look like for you, knowing that you work for an organization that moves at such a rapid pace?
I don't really have much downtime. If I'm not working at my 9 to 5, I'm working on my 5 to 9 with my sister which is a business called The Double Portion Brand. We create content and apparel based on our faith and our lives.
In such a divisive time in our society, how important is it for you and your twin sister, Chanda Reynolds, to spread the word of God through The Double Portion Brand?
It's extremely important. A lot of individuals would approach me and ask me about my career and success, but a lot of people don't see me seeking the face of God constantly. People don't see the days of prayer and fasting to figure out the purpose of my life. It's important for us as millennials to know our purpose and the only way to know that is through your faith in God.
